A Message from Melissa
Hello wonderful donors/supporters, it’s Melissa, former FSP student and current FSP Senior Coordinator! I have a couple of updates for you from our incredible community:
Firstly, thank you so much for your support of our Fall 2025 Ramfunder Campaign – we met our goal because of you! We’re hoping our amazing community can come through for our students again in the Spring 2026 Ramfunder Campaign. This year, we’re raising funds for our Move-In Care Package Initiative.
Another special way you can support our students is by donating tangible items for our Semester Care Packages. Each semester, we typically distribute between 100 and 150 care packages, based on survey input from students. I send out emails to supporters with specific item requests, along with updated pricing and quantity information. If you’re new to supporting our Care Package Program and would like to be added to that email list, please be sure to submit our FSP Interest Form as well.
Thank you, as always, for helping our students feel supported and cared for

A Message from Sky Lindsey, FSP Alumni
Dear Donors of FSP,
My name is Sky Lindsey. I am a freshly graduated student of Psychology. I am also a former peer mentor, summer outreach, and facilitator of the Fostering Success Program. In fact this and Navigating the Workplace event of January are my last acts as a facilitator. The FSP program has been supporting me in many ways in my journey at CSU. Not only has it given me a community with other independent students but has also supported me in my first generation identity and my journey with becoming a guardian to my younger brother. My jobs with FSP have also helped me pay for college and housing. It has given me essential school supplies that I wouldn’t have been able to afford. Now it has given me my graduation quilt. Throughout my time in FSP the members of the community like Andrea and Melissa and our countless volunteers have always made me feel welcome and warm. Now I get to keep that warmth in the form of a quilt.
For what’s next in my life I start a new job as a behavioral technician for preschool aged children diagnosed with autism. I also now get to be a part of the FSP Alumni community. As I write this I look back on my time in the FSP community and those who help make this program successful and all I can think of is “Could I have made it to this point without FSP?” The simple answer is “no”. They say it takes a village to raise a child; well it also takes a village to make it through college, so to the donors, our wonderful Andrea and Melissa, and our campus connections, thank you for being my village.
Your newest alumni,
Sky Lindsey
Move-In Pick Up
At the beginning of the fall semester, FSP hosts a Move-In Pick-Up where students can stop by our offices and pick up much-needed dorm and apartment items like Twin XL sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, personal care items, electric kettles, laundry baskets, shower items, and much more. In the past, incredible individuals and local organizations have sponsored our Move-In Care Packages which helped offset operating costs greatly. You can contribute to move-in items through our Ramfunder campaign (https://give.colostate.edu/schools/ColoradoStateUniversity/2026-spring-ramfunder-cohort/pages/help-us-give-move-in-care-packages-to-students-from-foster-care) or express interest in supporting care packages on the FSP Interest Form.
