Mentoring Program

ABOUT OUR MENTORS

All new to CSU transfer and first-year independent students are paired with an upper-class Fostering Success Program (FSP) student in our mentoring program! FSP Educate Tomorrow Mentors also have an independent background and have succeeded here at CSU. Connecting with a supportive mentor helps new to CSU independent students navigate college during the first year at CSU. Student success is important and our mentors offer guidance and support along the way!

*The Mentoring Program has shown positive outcomes for participating students, including higher retention and graduation rates as well as better grades.

*Mentors in the program are trained in resource connection both at CSU and in the community, life/career skills, mental health support, academic success strategies, DEIJ foundations, and much, much more.
